Other centres near Etobicoke with G2 road tests

You can book a road test at any centre that gives your test, which helps when the nearest one is booked up.

Before your road test at Toronto Etobicoke

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Park, go inside to check in (most centres have a self-serve kiosk), then wait in your car for the examiner. Road tests run in any weather unless DriveTest tells you otherwise, so check its service disruptions page on stormy days.

Bring:

  • A Class G vehicle in good working order (owned, borrowed or rented: DriveTest doesn’t supply one)
  • Enough gas for the test
  • Your current driver’s licence
  • Your road test confirmation email, printed
  • Glasses or contact lenses, if you need them to drive
  • Money for the fee, if you’re hoping for a standby appointment

Dash cams and phone cameras must be off, and nobody else can ride along. Plan a way home in case you don’t pass: you can retest after 10 days, for $53.75 (G2) or $91.25 (G).

Taking the G test here

You’ll declare your highway experience: at least 5 drives in the last 3 months on a road signed 80 km/h or more, or a 400-series highway. If you don’t have it, the test is cancelled and you lose half the fee. Full-time centres like Toronto Etobicoke give a shorter G test for now, without parallel parking, roadside stops, three-point turns and driving in residential neighbourhoods. More on the G road test.

New to the test? Read the G2 road test guide for what the examiner checks on each manoeuvre.
